Welcome to The Cat’s Meow
The Cat’s Meow is a unique, fully furnished living quarters in my home that is for the traveling health care worker, student or other traveling professional. It offers a private bedroom with a large walk-in closet and vanity sink, and private porch with swing overlooking the backyard, a large comfortable sitting area with a gas fireplace, high speed internet, USB charging ports and TV available. There is an efficient kitchen stocked with coffee, tea, water, and snacks when you arrive! Also there is a private bathroom with heated tile floors. A full, updated kitchen is available for use upstairs (with permission of the homeowner) Also available for your use is the washer, dryer and freezer units in the basement. There is a resident dog, and two cats, who live on site–so you will have to be an animal lover to feel comfortable in our home. Parking is free and there is a covered parking space available on the main level. You will need to enter through the main entry door on the first level; however, when you arrive I can show you an alternative private entrance. Home is not handicapped accessible and does require the ability to go up and down stairs. For your security doors have locks (there is a key deposit) and/or code for entry to the home. My home is in a quiet, safe, residential area. The neighbors look out for one another and are welcoming to new faces. Roanoke is in the Blue Ridge Mountains so there are wonderful hiking, biking trails nearby. Carilion Clinic is 3 miles (9 minutes) away and Lewis Gale Medical Center is 5.6 miles away (12 minutes). Shopping is convenient and your host can advise you of favorite eateries nearby. Delivery is easy with GrubHub, etc. Rates for weekly: $800, Monthly: $1600.00 There is a cleaning fee for monthly guests of $250, Key Depost: is refundable ($100 returned at checkout), I will consider pets on a case-by-case basis with a $250 pet fee (for monthly renters).
