Little Bit O'Heaven is not just a rental property, it is the home we live in, so we take hospitality seriously, and great pride in offering our well maintained home to you throughout the summer months. We chose this home because of its amazing and tranquil views of the lake, and each day as we awake and gaze at the vista we think we are in a little bit o'heaven. Enjoy the best of lakefront living from three levels of our 3BR/4BA townhome at Windlass Pointe (R26) on the Roanoke River, just below Betty's Creek. This is about halfway between Bridgewater Plaza and the State Park, and just 7 minutes by car to Westlake Plaza with shopping and restaurants. Rental does include use of the covered boat slip and a place to tie-up your jet ski as well.
Walking through the front door, you will pass the completely remodeled powder room and stairs to the lower level; entering the kitchen and great room. Immediately you will see the lake through two pairs of glass sliding doors that lead you to the main deck. Here there is plenty of room to grill your steak on the propane Weber grill, enjoy a meal viewing the lake and wildlife. Back inside, you'll love the generous and beautifully appointed living room with a 55in Smart TV over the mantle.The adjoining kitchen has been completely updated with solid surface countertops and marble backsplash. A glass top stove makes cleaning up a breeze, and doing dishes is barely a chore with the lake view. Appliances include an icemaker, microwave, toaster oven and Keurig. The kitchen is perfectly equipped for a gourmet chef. There is plenty of storage, even a wine rack tucked by the stools under the oversized kitchen island.
Up the stairs you will find two master bedrooms with on-suites, both with totally renovated bathrooms. The larger master boasts its own balcony to enjoy lake views, and also has a 55 in TV with Roku if you prefer to stay in the queen bed. (There's even a Keurig to save you a trip to the main level for that first morning cup.) The new master bath has a glass and tile walk-in shower with a double vanity and new fixtures. The guest suite is fully furnished in antiques with a six-foot high headboard and a queen mattress, and its own fully remodeled bathroom. In the hall between the master suites, behind doors, a convenient stackable washer and dryer make laundry a breeze.
The lower level also has double glass sliding doors that open to a lower deck and more views of the lake. This level has a sofa bed that opens to a double, and a full bathroom, making this area usable as a third bedroom. There's even a retractable clothes line for hanging towels after your swim. It has a 65in Smart TV with Wii for your gamers and a dvd player with lots of dvd selections. Of course, all the TVs are flatscreens and equipped with Netflix, Amazon Prime, and Hulu with internet. Down here you'll also find a table for playing games and building puzzles (lots to choose from).
Use the sliding doors on the lower level to access the covered boat slip, docks, sundeck and swim ladders, just a short walk down the gradual wooden steps. Back up at your home, you can relax on the welcoming porch swing or adirondack chairs while taking in the amazing views across the main channel. The association has a fire pit and picnic table in the common area for your enjoyment.
