Welcome to the 'Green House'! Located in one of the coolest small towns in America and home to the newest National Park. You are about to experience the small town feel of good people, amazing food, unmatched scenery, and an adventure of a lifetime. We are located just 0.4 miles away from 'Adventures on the Gorge,' less than 3 minutes from the New River Gorge Bridge, and across route 19 from Fayetteville's famous downtown that is filled with funky shops, local eateries, and unique art galleries.
Our outdoor space is new and improved for 2021. We have added an Outdoor Shower, Fire Pit, and Outdoor Dining/Entertainment space.
Our home has been completely re-modeled from its former days as a company coal mining home. Everything is brand new and decorated with our guests in mind. Our goal for this space is to make you feel like you have entered a relaxing bohemian hideaway while staying in the heart of the New River Gorge. There is no better feeling than becoming one with the outdoors, and doing it comfortably. 'The Green House' sits on a quarter acre fenced-in lot and sleeps 6 comfortably with the option of an additional 7th person on a cot. You will be provided with two queen-sized beds and two twin-sized beds all including top rated mattresses for comfort along with new couches. The space includes a fully-equipped kitchen and a luxurious bathroom along with high speed WIFI and ROKU when you want to relax after a long day on the river. Internet speed measured at 128.71 Mbps on 1/24/2021.
Additional:
-We have a security camera outside of our front door. This is only to secure our home while we are away. It does not record our guests.
Guests have access to the the whole house and yard.
We are available 24/7 for all guest needs. We also have someone in the area that will be available should you have an emergency. The main door (opposite the porch) has a keyless keypad entry to easily come and go as you please in which we will provide the passcode for prior to your arrival.
We are located close by the New River Gorge bridge and visitor center. We are in a quaint rural neighborhood next to Adventures on the Gorge. Swiftwater General Store is right across the street.
We offer off street parking, All the shops and restaurants in town are a short trip over the bridge into town.
House Rules and Check-out Instructions:
-Feel free to use all appliances and amenities.
-Please take shoes off prior to entering the home.
-Please turn off all A/C units when not on the property.
-Please stay away from the shed in the yard. It is currently under construction.
-Please leave all dirty towels on the bathroom floor (off of the rugs) at the end of your stay.
-You do not have to do anything with the sheets.
-Please place all dirty dishes inside of the dishwasher.
-If you have several bags of trash, there is a bin outside of the gate where your car is parked.
-Please keep noise levels low after 10pm. We do not want to upset the neighbors.
