Summary: This place is a true gem! Everything here is dedicated to providing the guest with a home away from home—with a touch of decadence. There are lovely chocolates and biscuits available in the lounge, along with coffee and tea, at all times. The lounge has a small library and comfortable chairs, too. The shared kitchen is incredibly well stocked. The colour-coding of rooms and crockery is brilliant, as is the numbering of pantries and refrigerator shelves. As if that isn’t enough, the beds are comfortable, the bathrooms are thoughtfully designed and the location, in a small neighbourhood, is unbeatable. Even the detailed guest guide is superb: restaurant and grocery recommendations, along with hours of operation and walking directions! That was super helpful. We were also spoilt. We had the blue room, which has a balcony, which meant that we got to eat our breakfast outside or sit there in the evenings stargazing. It also gave us a little extra ventilation during the heatwave. In the daytime, the staff closed everything up to keep the heat out, too, which meant that our room was cooled down when we returned. We absolutely loved Max and will return.
