This lakefront townhome enjoys a prime location on the lake's western shore. There are three marinas all within 15 miles - Crazy Horse, Bayside, and Crystal Shores - where you can launch your boat. The house is also just five miles north of Smith Mountain Lake Community Park, where you'll find a fishing pier, a playground, hiking trails, a picnic area, a kayak and canoe launch, and a swimming lane. Smith Mountain Lake is home to a plethora of other activities too. Between adventures, try one of the many local coffee shops or wineries for a refreshing drink. For meals, indulge in waterfront dining at a restaurant along the water for views rivaling the food before heading back to your holiday home.
Speaking of which, its convenient location makes it a perfect stay even during the off-season. Liberty Mountain Snowflex Centre offers year-round skiing, so you'll always be able to hit the slopes. Liberty University and its Campus Recreation are interesting places to tour and see while you're in the area. Finally, Roanoke (including the airport) is within a 60-minute drive and offers its own sights, museum, and restaurants.
The outdoor spaces at this home were designed to make the most of the gorgeous lakefront view. Sip your morning coffee on the primary suite's balcony at sunrise, enjoy lunchtime barbecues on the ground-floor patio, and spend golden hour on the main-floor deck playing cards and sipping wine.
The three-story interior has been renovated from top to bottom, offering beautiful tile, wainscoting, new doors and windows (2019), and polished bathrooms. After a day of bass fishing, come home to unwind in central AC, prepare dinner in an elegant kitchen with stainless steel appliances, and sit down to eat at the granite breakfast bar or the adjacent dining room table. In the evenings, stream movies and play board games in the living room, leave the kids to play foosball in the bunk room downstairs, and retreat to the primary suite to finish a bit of remote work at the desk by the electric fireplace.
